  1. Bly me, I'm sure glad the Mods & Rockets didn't inrup the tourney or we woulda had lotsa blood and guts and all kinds of bloody mess on our hands eh.

  2. The guy at 1:16 is Geoff Brown from Australia who also had a two handed game.  The guy jumping the net at 1:20 with the hat is probably Ellsworth Vines.

  3. love the line judge at 0:59 – legs crossed and totally not bothered !!! legend !! So what did they do with the long dresses and long trousers when there was hot weather back then ?? There must have been some heat waves in mid summer during some of those early years …. ?? We see how the players suffer now even with towels every point, iced drinks etc. How on earth did they cope back then ?
