Lyrics:

some summer you have planned for me / look at all these tourists as they flock to the sea / getting in the water like it’s nothing but it’s not without a consequence / I hear it comes quite naturally but that description doesn’t fit with me / not going over, never going under / not without a consequence / the narrows, the river empty into the sea / some summer you have planned for me, emptied into the sea / such a good man, had a good job / I’d take up swimming for the patriarch /now dispersed so casually like sediment into the sea / the swollen moon all flushed with red / one eclipse away from the Bay of the Dead / it ain’t right I’m telling you / it’s more than coincidence / one stroke at a time on my way back to land / it’s better for me with my feet in the sand / some summer you have planned for me, emptied into the sea

  1. Alaina Moore @Tennisinc :

This song describes the day Patrick and I scattered his father’s ashes at sea.
It was a perfect summer afternoon.
People were swimming and surfing off the beach. It was an odd juxtaposition.
For some reason I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that I hadn’t learned to swim.

  2. Maybe it is because you sound like Gwen Stefani. Maybe it's because your the first white woman I've seen with an afro like style. Maybe both… regardless, you keep finding new ways for me to fall in love.

  3. I've had this on repeat all day. It just got late and I can't play music out loud because my family's asleep in bed. So I put my earphones in and transcended into the next dimension, because it was the first time I could hear the bass properly. Tennis is incredible.
